How Do Evaporative Coolers Work?
An evaporative cooler, also known as a swamp cooler, works by passing warm air through wet cooling pads. The warm air is pulled into the unit through a fan system, and helps the water on these pads to evaporate as it passes over them. That water is then blown into the air, making the environment cooler and more humid.
