Home Dehumidifiers For Small Spaces
Perfect For Tackling Damp And Humidity In Household Environments
Humidity can be an issue in many homes across the country, and there are many ways moisture is produced. Cooking, cleaning, showering, drying laundry and even breathing all produce moisture which then accumulates in the air. All of this moisture helps to raise the relative humidity level within the home. Modern homes have great insulation and double-glazed windows which help to keep heat inside, which, however, makes it more difficult for fresh air to ventilate the home and for moisture to escape.
A home dehumidifier offers an effective drying solution which actively removes this excess moisture from the air. Leading to better air quality and reduction of negative effects of humidity.
Reduce Risks In The Home With A Home Dehumidifier
Excess moisture in the home can lead to condensation forming on surfaces and windows, damp patches and mould on walls. It can make the air feel sticky and uncomfortable - which can affect people with symptoms of allergies and asthma. Some of these issues are less noticeable than others in the warmer months in the year when you are more likely to have windows open and ventilation is improved. However, these issues are exasperated in cold and wet weather if not dealt with properly.
A home dehumidifier effectively tackles this issue, by capturing and removing this unnecessary moisture.
Dehumidifiers For The Home
Our selection of domestic dehumidifiers are perfect for small spaces, including the home.
They can be used to assist in drying laundry, and can be used in a variety of spaces and rooms, such as lofts, garages, bedrooms, bathrooms, basements, and even small commercial areas such as shops and offices.
With their sleek and attractive designs, these home dehumidifiers blend perfectly into their environment for discreet, effective dehumidification.
Types Of Home Dehumidifiers
One question that is often asked when investing in a home dehumidifier is which type of dehumidifier is best suited for the job.
There are two types of dehumidifier: Refrigerant and Desiccant
Refrigerant dehumidifiers are more commonly used. They feature an internal compressor which uses refrigerant gas to cool a set of coils. The coils cool this moisture, causing it to condence into liquid and drop into a collection tank.
Desiccant dehumidifiers use a wheel of absorbant material to remove moisture from the air. The moisture is vented out of the unit as water vapour, via ducting. These units work effectively even in lower temperatures, where refrigerant dehumidifiers often struggle to perform. As a result, they are best used in more challenging, unheated conditions such as basements, garages, attics and cellars.
